Srinagar: On the express directions of Director Ayush and District Ayush officer, Dr Farooq Iqbal Sahab, a medical camp was organised by Ayush unit of Handwara and U/D Chutipora in collaboration with 21 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) at Hamla Pati block Zachaldara Kupwara. Information about the herbal medicines was given to the people so that they could take benefit from these to cure various ailments as they are readily available to them.
Dr. Shahi Jahan Wani also addressed the people including girls of pubertal age group, pregnant/lactating women and school going children in the context of anaemia and gave them knowledge on how they can prevent themselves from the condition and about its treatment.
The main purpose of this camp was to make people aware of the herbal medicines so that these could be made easily available to them and they could get them conveniently in their nearby areas. This could prevent people from going to only some particular hospital, thus reducing large gatherings and the risk of spreading the Coronavirus.
In this camp, Dr Shahi Jahan Wani, Dr Ayoub Marazi, Dr Umer, Dr Mariya, Dr Aubaid Sharief, senior pharmacist Farooq Ahmad also took part in the medical camp.
