New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has alleged a covert, behind-the-scenes alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress as the Delhi assembly elections approach. In a sharp critique, Kejriwal called on both parties to officially announce their alliance, claiming their alleged collaboration is undermining the electoral process.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Kejriwal said, “The Congress and the BJP should officially declare that they are contesting the elections against AAP in an alliance. This covert, behind-the-scenes collaboration is unacceptable.” His remarks highlight the growing tension between the opposition parties, especially as Delhi gears up for another round of assembly elections.
Kejriwal’s accusations come at a time when the relationship between AAP and Congress, both part of the INDIA bloc, has been strained. The parties failed to form an alliance for the Haryana elections, further complicating their political dynamics.
In addition to attacking BJP and Congress, Kejriwal also took aim at Congress, criticizing the party for its diminishing influence. He remarked, “Apart from a few media persons, no one takes the Congress seriously anymore.”
