FAM to Host National-Level Event Addressing Key Issues of Traders and MSMEs

Mumbai: The Federation of Associations of Maharashtra (FAM), the apex body representing trade associations across the state, will celebrate its Foundation Day — May 24 — as “Vyapari Ekta Diwas” (Trader Unity Day) with a grand national event.

To mark the occasion, FAM is organising the All India Trade Conference at the Y. B. Chavan Auditorium, Mumbai, starting at 2:30 PM. This high-level conference will serve as a national platform for discussing pressing issues faced by the MSME and trade sectors, including legal hurdles, tax reforms, infrastructure development, and the simplification of business processes.

FAM President Mr. Jitendra Shah will unveil a comprehensive and practical policy framework aimed at resolving the ongoing challenges of traders. Speaking ahead of the event, he stated:

“Vyapari Ekta Diwas is not just a celebration of unity, but a movement to ensure justice, voice, and policy support for every MSME and trader in India. The time for real reforms is now.”

Prominent trade federations, organisations, and chambers from across the country are expected to attend the conference. Among them is the Grain, Rice, Oil Seeds and Merchants Association (GROMA) from the APMC Market in Navi Mumbai.

GROMA President Mr. Bhimjibhai Bhanushali confirmed their participation and emphasised that the conference will highlight key issues like APMC regulations and FSSAI compliance, and will present concrete proposals to the government.

FAM Director General Mr. Pritesh Shah has called upon trade bodies, federations, and chambers from across Maharashtra and India to actively participate in this landmark conference.
