Gurugram: A shocking case of sexual assault has emerged from a private hospital in Gurugram, where a 46-year-old air hostess was allegedly assaulted by a hospital staff member while she was unconscious and on a ventilator. The incident, which occurred while the victim was connected to life support, has sparked outrage and led to a police investigation.
The victim, who had traveled to Gurugram for airline training, initially fell ill after a near-drowning incident in a hotel swimming pool. She was admitted to a private hospital for emergency treatment. However, her condition worsened, and on April 6, she was transferred to another private hospital in the Sadar area by her husband, where the alleged assault took place.
According to the woman’s complaint, while she was unconscious and unable to move or scream due to her critical condition, she sensed inappropriate physical contact from a hospital staff member. The victim said she was unable to resist or alert anyone because of the life support system she was connected to.
After being discharged from the hospital on April 13, the victim confided in her husband about the assault. The couple contacted emergency helpline number 112 and subsequently filed an official complaint at the Sadar police station with the help of their legal advisor.
