Kupwara: The Ainul Ilm Institute of Morality and Science (AIIMS) Secondary School Handwara celebrated its 15th Foundation Day with grandeur and enthusiasm, under the inspiring theme “Aalav — A Call for Heritage, Habitat, and Harmony.” The event, held on the school campus, showcased a perfect blend of education, culture, environment, and ethics, reflecting the institution’s commitment to holistic development and value-based learning.
The celebration was presided over by People’s Conference Chairman and MLA Handwara, Sajad Gani Lone, who attended as the Chief Guest. Senior officials, including Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, DDC Chairman Kupwara Irfan Panditpuri, Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara Javed Masoodi, SSP Crime Srinagar Mohammad Shafi, and other dignitaries, joined the festivities. Educationists and school leaders, including KNS Editor-in-Chief Mohammad Aslam Bhat, were present as Special Guests.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a Naat-e-Rasool (SAW), creating a serene and spiritual ambiance. Students of AIIMS then took to the stage with cultural performances, thematic skits, speeches, and songs centered on the themes of heritage conservation, environmental sustainability, and communal harmony.
Special exhibition stalls were organized to bring the theme of “Heritage, Habitat, and Harmony” to life. Students showcased scientific models, eco-friendly innovations, traditional crafts, and research-based projects, which were highly appreciated by the guests for their creativity, scientific curiosity, and awareness of environmental issues.
MLA Sajad Gani Lone lauded the school’s efforts, noting that initiatives like these strengthen the social and intellectual fabric of Handwara. DC Kupwara Shrikant Balasaheb Suse praised AIIMS for merging ethics with academics, saying, “The theme ‘Aalav’ beautifully symbolizes sustainability, culture, and peace. Institutions like AIIMS are shaping not only educated minds but also responsible citizens who value their roots and surroundings.”
SSP Crime Srinagar Mohammad Shafi also expressed admiration for the students’ talents, noting that AIIMS Handwara provides a platform comparable to national-level schools.
During the event, outstanding students and teachers were recognized with awards and certificates for their achievements in academics, cultural participation, and extracurricular activities.
School administrators Mohammad Sulaiman Mir and Naseer Ahmad expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, parents, staff, and guests for contributing to the success of the 15th Foundation Day. They reaffirmed AIIMS Handwara’s mission to blend knowledge with ethics, science with compassion, and learning with humanity, aiming to produce students who are academically sound, morally upright, and socially responsible.
As a token of appreciation, every guest received a bouquet and an AIIMS commemorative memento.
