Aditya Narayan, son of renowned singer Udit Narayan, found himself at the center of controversy recently when a video of him allegedly hitting a fan during a concert went viral on social media. The footage, which captured the singer striking a fan and subsequently throwing away the fan’s mobile phone, drew widespread condemnation from netizens who criticized Aditya for his behavior.
The incident, which occurred during a live performance, sparked outrage among fans and social media users, with many denouncing Aditya’s actions as arrogant and uncalled for. The viral video prompted a swift response from stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui, who took a dig at Aditya in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
“Papa kehte hain, badnaam karega! Beta humare aise kaand karega,” wrote Munawar Faruqui, alluding to the popular song and implying disapproval of Aditya’s behavior.
Amidst the backlash, the event organizer addressed the controversy, shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the altercation. According to the organizer, the individual involved in the incident was not a college student as initially speculated but someone from outside the college premises. The organizer revealed that the man had been persistently bothering Aditya during the performance, leading the singer to lose his composure.
In a statement to Zoom, the event manager explained, “That boy was not even a college student; he must be someone from outside the college. He was constantly dragging Aditya’s feet nonstop. He was very irritating. He banged his phone on Aditya’s feet multiple times.”
The manager added, “After that, only did he lose his cool. He must have taken almost 200 selfies with this student. The whole concert went smooth apart from this. After this incident, the show went on for almost two hours. If the student was right, he would have had come forward.”
The incident serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by celebrities in managing their public image and handling unexpected situations during live performances. As the controversy continues to unfold, Aditya Narayan and those involved await further developments and responses from concerned parties.
