Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday said he has been diagnosed with typhoid but insisted that his illness would not slow down the party’s campaign over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak. In a video shared on social media, Dipke said the movement would continue until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan steps down.
Despite his health condition, the CJP leader said the campaign would move forward with supporters across the country continuing peaceful demonstrations.”I have been diagnosed with typhoid, but the fight will continue until Dharmendra Pradhan resigns,” Dipke said in his video message.
CJP Chief Thanks Supporters for Nationwide Participation
Dipke also acknowledged the large number of supporters who participated in demonstrations held across different states, thanking them for maintaining peace during the protests.
According to him, the widespread participation reflected growing public support for the movement and encouraged the organisation to continue its campaign for examination reforms and accountability.”I really want to thank all the cockroaches protesting peacefully nationwide, and congratulations to everyone for making this movement a success,” he said.
Party Maintains Its Stand on Resignation Demand
The CJP founder reiterated that the party would not withdraw its agitation until the Union Education Minister resigns. Referring to activist Sonam Wangchuk ending his prolonged hunger strike, Dipke welcomed the development but clarified that the party’s own protest programme would remain unchanged.
He said Wangchuk’s health was a matter of relief for everyone but stressed that the CJP’s central demand continued to be ministerial accountability over the alleged examination irregularities.
Dipke also repeated the party’s position that any discussions with the Centre should be conducted at a neutral venue and maintained that the resignation demand remained non-negotiable.
Security Tightened Across Delhi Ahead of Weekend Demonstrations
Meanwhile, security arrangements have been strengthened across several parts of the national capital as authorities prepare for fresh demonstrations over the weekend.
Police have deployed additional barricades and reinforced security around Jantar Mantar and nearby areas amid expectations of a larger turnout of protesters. Officials are monitoring the situation closely to maintain law and order while allowing peaceful demonstrations within the prescribed framework.
The protests, led by the Cockroach Janta Party, continue to focus on demands for examination reforms, accountability in the alleged NEET-UG paper leak case and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
