Bhopal: On the 300th birth anniversary of the legendary Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a grand women’s empowerment event at Bhopal’s Jamboree Ground on Saturday, saluting India’s ‘Nari Shakti’ and highlighting their growing role in national security.
In his powerful speech to a sea of enthusiastic women chanting “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram”, the Prime Minister said,
“Ab ghar mein ghuskar bhi marenge aur jo aatankiyon ki madad karega usko bhari keemat chukani padhegi. Ab goli ka jawab hum gole se denge,”
PM Modi described Operation Sindoor as India’s most decisive counter-terror operation against Pakistan so far, calling it ‘Kaal’ for terrorists. He credited the BSF’s women personnel for their fearless and fitting response to cross-border firing on the Line of Control (LoC).
“They gave a strong reply to cross-border firing on LOC. Today, NCC’s first batch of women passed out. Now, more daughters will be deployed in active roles in defence forces– Navy, Army and Air Force,” he added.
The event also celebrated the rising strength and contributions of women in India’s defence structure, with PM Modi emphasizing the empowerment of daughters who are now entering the armed forces in greater numbers.
