In a significant development, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to contest all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab and one seat in Chandigarh, marking the end of the Opposition’s alliance in the state. AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal made the announcement on Saturday, expressing confidence in the party’s prospects and seeking support from the people of Punjab.

Addressing a gathering, Kejriwal recalled the overwhelming support received by AAP in the previous Assembly elections, where the party secured 92 out of 117 seats, creating history in Punjab. He humbly appealed to the electorate for their continued support in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

“Lok Sabha elections will be held in two months. For Lok Sabha elections, Punjab has 13 seats and one from Chandigarh – a total of 14 seats. In the next 10-15 days, AAP will declare its candidates in all of these 14 seats. You have to make AAP sweep all these 14 seats with a majority,” Kejriwal stated.

The decision to contest all seats underscores AAP’s determination to strengthen its presence in Punjab and make a significant impact on the national political landscape. By fielding candidates across the state and in Chandigarh, AAP aims to offer voters a credible alternative and advocate for their interests at the highest level of governance.

With the stage set for a fiercely contested election, AAP’s declaration sets the tone for a dynamic and competitive electoral campaign in Punjab and Chandigarh. As the party prepares to announce its candidates, all eyes will be on the unfolding political dynamics and the strategies employed by AAP to secure victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
