The Aam Aadmi Party today organised ‘Upwaas For Kejriwal’ across the world. AAP leaders and volunteers observed a day long fast across many locations in India & abroad, in solidarity with AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
In Mumbai, party volunteers gathered at Azad Maidan and observed a day long fast. The day was marked with patriotic songs and musical performance’s in the rich tradition of Maharashtra’s revolutionary bards.
The arrest of Arvind Kejriwal represents a grave violation of his fundamental rights and serves as a direct attack on the democratic fabric of our nation. As a party dedicated to upholding justice, equality, and the voices of the people, we refuse to stand idly by in the face of such injustice.
The leaders, members, and supporters of AAP, alongside local citizens and professional artists who share our commitment to democracy and justice, joined us at Azad Maidan to lend their voices to the fight against tyranny and oppression. Their presence and support have been invaluable as we demonstrate our unity and determination to defend the core principles of democracy.
“Arvind Kejriwal’s illegal arrest has galvanized the people of India. There has been a huge wave of sympathy and support across the spectrum. AAP MP Sanjay Singh’s regular bail by the SC under PMLA has proven that he is innocent and the ED doesn’t have a shred of evidence whatsoever.
Indians across the world, from all walks of life, are praying for Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and for God to give him the strength to fight against evil and save our democracy.” said Ruben Mascarenhas, Mumbai working President, Aam Aadmi Party.
“Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is one of India’s most loved leaders. There is widespread support for his leadership. The BJP and PM Narendra Modi will bite the dust in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.”, said Pius Varghese, Mumbai General Secretary, Aam Aadmi Party.
“The BJP and the Modi Govt have failed on all fronts. PM Narendra Modi and the BJP are absolutely corrupt. The electoral bonds scam has exposed the extortion racket and the quid pro quo run by the BJP.”, said Sandeep Katke, Mumbai Vice-President, Aam Aadmi Party.
“We will fight to save the Constitution of India. We will fight to save our country and our democracy. We will prevail.”, said Sandeep Mehta, Mumbai Vice-president, Aam Aadmi Party.
