More than 89 crore two lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry said, over 64 lakh 40 thousand doses were administered yesterday.
More than 26 thousand new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The active caseload declined to two lakh 75 thousand 224 and it is the lowest in 196 days. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and it is currently at 0.82 per cent, the lowest since March last year.
The Ministry said, the recovery rate is currently stands at 97.86 per cent. Over 28 thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours. More than three crore 30 lakh patients have already been recovered from COVID-19 so far. The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.70 per cent which is less than three per cent for the last 98 days. Daily positivity rate is at 1.76 per cent which is less than three per cent for the last 32 days. Over 57 crore COVID tests have been conducted so far in the country. Over 15 lakh 20 thousand tests were conducted yesterday.
