Srinagar: Yougal Manhas of the Jammu and Kashmir Police Service (JKPS) on Wednesday assumed charge as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara.
Speaking soon after assuming the charge, he argued that good policing was the cornerstone of public peace and prosperity, he urged upon the personnel and government officers to work with dedication, commitment and integrity. He stressed upon bringing qualitative changes in the district and making Kupwara a drug free zone.
The new SSP unequivocally said that the priority of his administration would be a responsive and accountable police officer. He enjoined upon all the officers to work in tandem and play their role in reinforcing the faith of people in J & K Police.
Upon his arrival at the district police office Kupwara, he was received by Assistant Superintendent of Police Kupwara, Deputy Superintendent of Police Headquarters, Kupwara, Deputy Superintendent of Police P C Lolab and Deputy Superintendent of Police DAR Kupwara.
Immediately after assuming the charge, SSP Kupwara had an introductory cum interactive meeting with all the government officers of the district police Kupwara. While addressing the officers, the SSP reiterated his commitment toward good policing.
