Metropolitan court has issued an order to start a defamation process against BJP leader Kirit Somaiya for making comments against an NGO.
The Sewree Metropolitan Court, in its order last week, said prima facie there is a case made out under charges of defamation against Somaiya and he has been asked to remain present before the court next month.
To make Kirit Somaiya appear in the court and to make him answerable to the court, Court has issued process against Kirit Somaiya for offences punishable under Section 500 of the IPC.
Court has summoned Kirit Somaiya to appear in the court on 22nd September and 5 October.
