BJP leader Basavaraj Bommai, who was the home minister in the BS Yediyurappa cabinet, will take charge as the next Karnataka Chief Minister.
The decision was announced by BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan this evening.
The move follows a BJP legislature party meet, which was held earlier today in Bengaluru.
