In Madhya Pradesh, five cases of the Delta Plus variant of COVID-19 have been reported so far. In view of the advisory issued by the Union Health Ministry to Madhya Pradesh, efforts are being made by the State Government to vaccinate all eligible persons before the arrival of the possible third wave of Corona virus infection. AIR correspondent reports that Health Minister of State Dr Prabhuram Choudhary informed that four out of five people found with Delta Plus variant who got the vaccine are healthy and one has died. State is prepared to administer more than five crore vaccine doses by the month of October.
Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Mohammad Suleman informed that all the districts achieved their target of vaccination on mega vaccination day on June 21. Indore stood first with two lakh 21 thousand 628 vaccines, Bhopal stood second and Ujjain ranked third. Khandwa, Chhindwara and Rajgarh district recorded the highest achievement against the target.
Meanwhile, state on Tuesday recorded 65 new positive cases and 20 deaths while 318 people recovered from infection. The active cases in the state reduced to 1,707. The rate of positivity has also come down to 0.1 per cent.
