Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has claimed that the BJP will get more than 200 seats in the forthcoming assembly elections in West Bengal. Addressing a public meeting at the college ground in West Medinipur today, he said the people of the state want change.

He expressed hope that the entry of former minister Shuvendu Adhikari in the BJP will further strengthen the party’s base in West Bengal. Mr. Shah said that people across the state are aware of the corruption in the Trinamool Congress, so one leader after another is being forced to leave the party.

He further said Shuvendu Adhikari left the TMC party to join the BJP to fight corruption in the ruling party. He said, senior party members are leaving TMC and this is just the start, she will be left alone by the election.

The Chief Minister is not allowing the people of the state to get the benefits of the Centre’s projects including the Ayushman Bharat, Krishak Samman Nidhi. Besides, alleging corruption in the ration and relief money of Amphan, he said, the extortion is increasing in the state. Therefore, the ruling party has embezzled the relief money of Amphan.
