Govt orders Panchanamas of damages caused by cyclone Nisarga

Mumbai: The Maharashtra Government has directed the concerned authorities of the affected districts to submit the Panchanamas in next two days about the damages caused due to cyclonic storm ‘Nisarga’ so as to  provide assistance to the famers’ and villagers’. Instructions to this effect were issued on Thursday.

The cyclonic storm ‘Nisarga’ which made landfall yesterday lashed various districts on the western coast of Maharashtra. However, the Raigad district was severely hit.

Raigad district has been at the centre of facing the brunt of the cyclone. Several electric poles have been uprooted leading to power disruption. 

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has directed the district authority to restore the power supply on an urgent basis in the region and has also said that if the need arises then the additional manpower and paraphernalia should be sourced from other parts of the state as well.
