Talking to TheNew21, MBMC commissioner Chandrakant Dange said, “There is no need to worry, the main reason behind the rising number of positive cases in Mira Bhayander is people are still going to Mumbai for work. And through them, the cases are increasing in the city.”

This person used to work as a tailor in Mumbai and he was suffering from tuberculoses. He was admitted in Mumbai and later he died, just because of mistake of hospital his body was given to his relatives and no proper instructions were given to them for cremation. So when his body was brought at his house, his family members were infected of corona and the infection was spread to those who met his family members. Around 21 people gathered at his house to see him and those who came to see him were also found positive after a few days,” Dange concluded.
At present, there are 533 positive patients in Mira Bhayander while the death toll mounts to 17.
