Mumbai: Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC) is leaving no stone unturned to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the twin city. On Saturday, 56 coronavirus patients recovered and walked out of a government hospital after treatment. This is the first time since the outbreak began that such huge numbers of Corona patients have been discharged in a single day.
Speaking with thenews21.com MBMC commissioner Chandrakant Dange said, “People have faced problems in this complete lockdown which is going on since last 12 days, but because of this complete lockdown and with the help of doctors and with people maintaining social distancing we have reached till here and achieved this much”.
He further said that “57 more patients are still remaining to be discharged and our doctors are doing a commendable job and thus remaining patients will soon walk free from the hospital.”
It is one of the proud moments for the twin city as 56 patients leave the hospital with a smile on their faces. Till now more than 100 patients have been recovered in Mira Bhayander.
Meanwhile, Dange said that MBMC will be giving some relaxation to the people of Mira Bhayander and some stores will be opened. However, the timings are yet to be decided.-By Salman Khan
