Mumbai police uses Pug Advt nostalgia to drive home Stay Home lockdown message

Ever since the lockdown has been announced Mumbai Police has hogged the limelight be it dealing with citizens with either their batons or pleading them to go back in various ways. Mumbai police has put its Twitter handle to good use with innovative ideas asking people to stay safe stay home.

Mumbai: In attempt to stop people from coming out their houses during lockdown, Mumbai Police is regularly trying all innovative ideas asking and persuading people to stay safe at home.

Today morning, the Mumbai Police on its Twitter handle posted  “You and I.. will meet again in this beautiful world “.

Remember, the popular cellular phone provider Vodafone advertisement of a pug in a red house and the tune in background of which had lyrics “You and I …in this beautiful world”.

The advertisement had a pug following a kid at all places and jingle was in the background with the lyrics ” You and I ..in this beautiful world “. This advertisement remained in the minds of people for several years.

Following it, the Mumbai Police has tweeted at 8.55 AM a meme urging people to stay at home amid the Coronavirus outbreak.

The Mumbai police posting the video of a pug (dog) inside a red-coloured house with the background jingle. Immediately after posting it received huge applause by Twitterati. The message managed to get 16,800 views with 1050 likes and 148 retweets.

After seeing Twitter there were mix reactions of people, some missed the old era, mentioned nostalgia and some longed to meet their family members and friends.  –By Santoshee Gulabkali Mishra
