Jyotiradtiya Scindia broke all his association with grand old party on March 10 and left Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh high and dry. As per the gossip mongers he will soon join hands with BJP, however, Scindia had an 18-years relationship with Congress but sudden exit of his from the party raises eyebrows. One question that remains is who was behind this smooth transition for Scindia? Was it someone in the BJP who tasked it or was it his royal in-laws?
If speculations are to be believed than Zafar Islam, BJP spokesperson is the man behind who cleared Scindia’s path to enter BJP. Talking more about Zafar Islam, he is a former foreign bank worker; Islam joined the BJP under the influence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s brand of politics. He is said to enjoy a “good relation” with PM Modi.
Incidentally, Islam knows Scindia for a long time as they used to meet often during the former union minister’s stay in Delhi. However, reports were that in the last five months Zafar was meeting Scindia “too often”, possibly to discuss bringing the latter to BJP camp.
On the other hand, some reports say that the royals of Baroda were the actual influencers behind Scindia’s renege from Congress. Scindia’s wife Priyadarshini belongs to the royal Gaekwads of Baroda and her mother, Shubhangini Raje Gaekwad, had acted as the Prime Minister’s proposer in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
Speculations are that Shubhangini had initiated the communication between Scindia and PM Modi which led to further discussions.-Inputs from India.com
