‘I Felt Unsafe on Gurugram Roads’: Woman Biker Allegedly Chased and Hit by Car After Asking Driver to Keep Distance

A routine motorcycle ride in Gurugram allegedly turned into a frightening road incident after a woman biker claimed that a car followed her and later hit her motorcycle when she asked the occupants to maintain a safe distance.

The incident reportedly took place on Golf Course Road on Sunday and was captured in video footage shared by the biker on social media.

The rider, identified as Sia, runs the Instagram account ‘rebelwheels_sia_’. She said she was riding her Aprilia RS 457 along with members of her biking group when the alleged incident took place.

Woman Biker Says Car Continued Following Her

According to Sia’s account, the trouble began when she noticed the car following her too closely.

She said she asked the occupants to maintain a safe distance from her motorcycle. Instead of the situation ending there, she alleged that the car continued to follow her.

The situation later escalated when the car allegedly came into contact with her motorcycle.

The impact caused Sia to fall from the bike, while the motorcycle was reportedly dragged along the road for several metres.

Car Allegedly Left After Collision

Sia alleged that the car did not stop after the crash and instead drove away from the location.

The video shared online shows the aftermath of the incident and has drawn attention to the dangers faced by two-wheeler riders on busy roads.

Describing the experience, Sia said, “I have nothing to say, but today I felt unsafe on Gurugram roads. People like these aren’t afraid of hitting people and running away.”

Her account has sparked discussions online about road behaviour, safe driving and the responsibility of motorists after an accident.

Biker Raises Questions Over Road Safety

The incident has also brought attention to a common concern among motorcycle riders: maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles.

Unlike people travelling inside cars, motorcycle riders have little physical protection if a collision takes place. A vehicle approaching too closely can therefore create a serious safety risk, particularly on busy roads.

When a disagreement between motorists escalates, the danger can increase further.

Video Brings Attention to Incident

Sia’s social media post has attracted reactions from users who discussed the alleged incident and broader concerns about road safety in Gurugram.

The footage has also renewed conversations around responsible driving and the need for motorists to give motorcycles adequate space.

However, the allegations made in the social media post have not independently established the full circumstances of the incident. The exact sequence of events and any action taken by authorities would need to be confirmed through an official investigation.

Gurugram Roads and Two-Wheeler Safety

The incident serves as another reminder of how quickly a road dispute can become dangerous.

For motorcycle riders, keeping a safe distance, avoiding confrontations and seeking help from authorities when a road situation becomes threatening can be important safety measures.

For other motorists, giving two-wheelers sufficient space and stopping after any collision are basic responsibilities that can help prevent a road incident from becoming more serious.
