Six weeks of confrontations, betrayals and confessions came to a close on August 5 as Shreya Kalra was named the winner of ‘Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa’. Hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh presented her with the trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 1 crore.
Television actress Shivangi Joshi finished as the first runner-up, losing by a margin of just seven votes, while reality TV personality Yogesh Rawat secured the second runner-up position.
How the ‘Lock Upp’ Finale Played Out
Ram Kapoor was the first finalist to be eliminated, finishing in fifth place after losing a puzzle-based task. Shilpa Shinde exited next in fourth place after Shreya, Shivangi and Yogesh convinced her to pick a box marked “Terminated” during an elimination challenge based on persuasion and manipulation.
That left Shreya, Shivangi and Yogesh to face a panel comprising media professionals, former contestants and guests, including Mannara Chopra, Prince Narula and Awez Darbar, who questioned the finalists before casting their votes. Yogesh was eliminated next based on the jury’s votes.
The contest then came down to Shreya and Shivangi, with the winner decided through a combined vote by the studio jury, the jailers and former inmates. Shreya secured the title with 23 votes, while Shivangi received 16, a difference of seven votes that Riteish Deshmukh confirmed on stage before he and Farah Khan jointly announced the winner.
