At UP event PM Modi underlines his government’s responsibilities, speaks about ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday emphasised on the motto ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. In an event in Uttar Pradesh PM Modi recited lines from a Hindu prayer, which is used at the end of religious ceremonies, to talk about his government’s responsibilities.

“This means that it is the responsibility of the government that every person is benefited, every person gets justice. This thinking is also the basis of the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, everyone’s faith,” the Prime Minister said.

“This is the thought with which our government is working for the benefit of all the people in the society to make their lives easier…” he added.

However, as the speech came to end he said last lines of the prayer.

“As I started speaking to you, I mentioned a shloka which defined the responsibilities of a government. The last line of that mantra is lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu which means may everyone in this world, all sections of the society, every citizen, everyone be happy,” he said.-Inputs from Hindustan Times
