Interim Relief Continues for Khan Sir
A Patna court on Saturday extended its interim protection from arrest for educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, in connection with the firing case linked to his coaching institute. The court directed that no coercive action be taken against him until the next hearing scheduled for June 30.
The educator had earlier received protection from arrest after being named in an FIR related to the incident.
Case Linked to Violence Outside Coaching Institute
The case stems from a violent incident earlier this month when a group allegedly vandalised Khan Sir’s coaching institute in Patna. During the unrest, Khan Sir’s security personnel allegedly opened fire, leading to the registration of a criminal case.
Following the incident, Khan Sir’s name was included in the FIR, prompting him to seek legal protection from the court.
Court Defers Matter After Case Diary Submission
During Saturday’s proceedings, the investigating officer submitted an updated case diary before the court. After reviewing the latest developments, the court postponed detailed arguments to June 30 while continuing the interim protection granted to Khan Sir.
The court is expected to hear the matter in detail during the next hearing.
Security Guards’ Case Also Listed
The legal proceedings involving Khan Sir’s security guards, who are accused of firing during the incident, have also been scheduled for hearing on June 30.
Meanwhile, Khan Sir’s legal counsel stated that the educator has been fully cooperating with the investigation and is assisting the police whenever required.
