Ritu Phogat named event ambassador as Jerai Fitness unveils nationwide competition testing strength, endurance and overall athletic performance across six disciplines
Mumbai: Jerai Fitness Limited, one of India’s leading fitness equipment manufacturers, has announced the launch of ‘Last One Standing’, a first-of-its-kind national strength and endurance championship aimed at identifying the country’s most complete athletes.
The championship was unveiled by Rajesh Rai, Managing Director of Jerai Fitness and curator of the event, in the presence of prominent sports and fitness personalities including Ritu Phogat, MMA fighter and former international wrestler, celebrity bodyguard and fitness enthusiast Shera (Gurmeet Singh Jolly), celebrity trainer Mustafa Ahmed, and Dinesh Shetty, Pro-Muay Thai National Champion.
At the launch event, Ritu Phogat was also announced as the official event ambassador and brand ambassador for Jerai Fitness.
Registrations for the competition have opened through the official website, with the inaugural edition scheduled to be held at NESCO Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, on December 13, 2026. Participation for the first edition will be capped at 500 athletes, with a total prize purse of ₹21 lakh.
Designed to test both strength and endurance, the competition will feature six disciplines:
- Squats
- Bench Press
- Deadlift
- Pull-Ups
- Giant Bat Run
- Air Bike (Cycling)
The championship is open to both men and women above the age of 18. Participants will compete in age-based and weight-based categories. The men’s division will be divided into Under-30 and Above-30 categories, while the women’s division will feature Under-25 and Above-25 categories.
Athletes will accumulate points across all six events during the qualification rounds. The competitor with the highest overall score in each category will earn the coveted title of “Last One Standing.”
Apart from the overall champions, winners will also be crowned across the individual event categories.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Rai said the initiative aims to revive the spirit of physical resilience and challenge participants to push beyond conventional fitness goals.
“Our bodies are capable of incredible strength, yet we challenge them less and less. Last One Standing is an attempt to bring back that spirit of endurance, discipline and resilience. The platform is not just for elite athletes, but for everyone willing to test themselves and push beyond their limits,” he said.
The championship is expected to attract athletes, fitness enthusiasts, gym professionals and endurance competitors from across the country, making it one of India’s most ambitious multi-discipline fitness competitions.
