Fire Breaks Out in Residential Tower
A major fire triggered panic at a residential complex in Noida on Friday morning after flames engulfed an apartment in a high-rise tower, prompting an immediate emergency response from firefighters and police personnel.
The blaze was reported from an upper-floor flat at the Ivy County residential society, where thick smoke could be seen rising above the building as residents rushed to safety.
Firefighters Launch Containment Operation
Soon after receiving information about the incident, fire department teams reached the location with multiple vehicles and began efforts to contain the flames.
Officials focused on preventing the fire from spreading to neighbouring apartments and other sections of the tower. Emergency personnel also worked to ensure the safe evacuation of residents from affected areas of the building.
Videos from the scene showed smoke covering a large portion of the structure while firefighters battled the blaze from multiple points.
No Casualties Reported
Authorities stated that no deaths or injuries had been reported during the initial stages of the operation. However, rescue teams continued inspections to ensure that all residents had safely exited the affected sections of the building.
Police and fire officials remained at the site as cooling operations and safety assessments continued.
Fresh Concerns Over High-Rise Safety
The incident comes amid increasing concerns regarding fire preparedness in residential and commercial buildings. A separate fire incident was also reported in another part of Noida on the same day, adding to concerns about safety compliance and emergency response systems.
Officials indicated that the exact cause of the fire remains unknown and will be determined only after a detailed technical investigation.
Inquiry Likely Into Safety Systems
Authorities are expected to examine whether all mandatory fire safety measures were operational at the residential complex, including alarm systems, emergency exits and firefighting infrastructure.
