In a major organisational move, the All India Trinamool Congress has dissolved all its committees across West Bengal and announced a comprehensive review of the party’s structure, performance and functioning at every level.
The decision takes effect immediately and covers both the party’s main organisational units and its affiliated frontal wings.
Massive Review Exercise Planned
According to the party, the move is aimed at assessing the effectiveness of its organisational network and identifying areas that require improvement. Senior leaders will now conduct an extensive review of the party’s performance, internal functioning and grassroots presence across the state.
Following the assessment, a completely revamped organisational structure is expected to be unveiled.
New Team to Be Formed
Party sources indicated that the review will help determine which leaders and office-bearers will be retained and where changes may be required. The exercise is expected to influence appointments from the state level down to district and local units.
The Trinamool Congress said fresh committees would be constituted after the review process is completed.
Move Comes Amid Political Speculation
The development comes at a time when political discussions have intensified following reports of internal dissent within the party. Recent controversy surrounding expelled MLA Ritabrata Banerjee and claims involving support from several legislators have fuelled speculation about internal challenges facing the ruling party.
However, the Trinamool Congress has not linked the organisational overhaul to those reports and has maintained that the exercise is part of an internal assessment and restructuring process.
