“Why Aren’t You Dismissing the Education Minister?” Rahul Gandhi Targets PM Modi Over NEET Leak Row

Congress Escalates Attack Over NEET-UG Controversy

Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Sunday intensified his criticism of the Centre over the NEET-UG paper leak controversy, demanding the removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi over repeated examination irregularities.

In a social media post, Rahul Gandhi alleged that repeated paper leaks were damaging the future of students and accused the government of failing to ensure accountability despite recurring controversies surrounding competitive examinations.

Rahul Questions Government Over Repeated Exam Leaks

The Congress MP from Rae Bareli claimed that a similar paper leak incident had surfaced during the NEET examination process in 2024 and that the matter was investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

Referring to the latest controversy, Rahul said students across the country were once again facing uncertainty and stress due to examination failures. He questioned why action had not been taken against the education ministry despite repeated allegations linked to national-level recruitment and entrance exams.

Using the hashtag “Sack Pradhan,” the Congress leader also criticised the Prime Minister for remaining silent on the issue.

BJP Hits Back At Congress Allegations

The Bharatiya Janata Party responded sharply to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks and accused the Congress leader of politicising a sensitive issue involving students.

BJP national media co-incharge Sanjay Mayukh said the opposition was attempting to create confusion instead of allowing investigative agencies to complete their work. At the same time, the ruling party acknowledged that the paper leak incident was serious and unfortunate.

The BJP also urged Rahul Gandhi to avoid making what it termed “baseless allegations” against institutions and government agencies.

CBI Investigation Continues In NEET Leak Case

Meanwhile, the CBI investigation into the NEET-UG paper leak case is continuing with multiple arrests already made in connection with the alleged examination fraud network.

Among those arrested are alleged kingpin Prahlad Vithalrao Kulkarni and accused Manisha Sanjay Waghmare. A Delhi court has sent both accused to 10-day CBI custody for further interrogation and investigation.

Officials are probing the suspected leak network, financial transactions and possible links connected to the distribution of examination papers.

Political Heat Rises Ahead Of Further Investigation

The controversy has triggered a major political confrontation between the ruling BJP and the Congress, with opposition parties accusing the government of failing to protect the integrity of national examinations.

The NEET-UG issue has also sparked concern among lakhs of students and parents awaiting clarity on the future course of the examination process and accountability in the case.
