‘Honourable CM of Tamil Nadu’: Viral Jana Nayagan Theatre Moment Sends Vijay Fans Into Frenzy

A fresh wave of excitement has erupted around Jana Nayagan after videos from theatres showing a special title card for actor-politician C Joseph Vijay went viral across social media platforms.

The clips, widely circulated on X, captured audiences cheering loudly, dancing near cinema screens and celebrating after a title card reportedly addressed Vijay as the “Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.”

Viral Theatre Clips Spark Massive Buzz

According to videos shared online, the title card appearing during screenings read: “Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu – C Joseph Vijay in Jana Nayagan.”

The moment instantly triggered loud reactions from fans inside theatres, with whistles, slogans and celebrations taking over the screening halls.

While the clips have become a major talking point online, it remains unclear where exactly the modified version of the film was screened.

Vijay’s Political Rise Fuels Fan Celebrations

The viral theatre response comes soon after Vijay’s political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, made a powerful electoral debut in Tamil Nadu politics.

TVK emerged as the single-largest party in the 234-member Assembly after winning 108 seats, dramatically changing the political landscape of the state and strengthening Vijay’s image as a rising political force.

Supporters online linked the emotional theatre celebrations directly to the actor’s recent political success, with many calling the moment symbolic of Vijay’s transition from cinema icon to mass political leader.

Jana Nayagan Team Congratulates Vijay

The production team behind the film also publicly reacted to Vijay’s political performance.

Producer Venkat K Narayana from KVN Productions shared a congratulatory message praising Vijay’s electoral success and described it as a historic moment achieved “against all odds.”

The message further called the victory a “revolution” that would be remembered for generations.

Film Faces Multiple Release Delays

Despite the massive online attention, Jana Nayagan has still not officially released in theatres after facing repeated postponements.

The movie was originally scheduled for a January 9 release before reports suggested a later February launch. However, the film again failed to arrive in cinemas as expected.

Industry reports claimed the delay was linked to political references included in the film. Following the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct on March 15, the project was reportedly referred by the censor authorities to the Election Commission for review.

Vijay’s ‘Final Film Before Politics’

Directed by H Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, the movie is being promoted as Vijay’s final film project before dedicating himself fully to politics.

Apart from Vijay, the film also features Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Mamitha Baiju in major roles.

The combination of political success, fan-driven celebrations and ongoing release delays has now turned Jana Nayagan into one of the most discussed Tamil films of the year.
