Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Minister of the Shiv Sena-Shinde faction, Sanjay Shirsat, strongly responded to remarks made by Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, dismissing them as inconsequential while taking aim at the opposition party’s role in societal divisions.

Speaking on Tuesday, Shirsat said, “Look, what Digvijaya Singh said does not matter that much. The Congress has divided the country—separating Dalits and Muslims. All these divisions have been created by the Congress.”

Shirsat’s comments come amid rising political tension in Maharashtra, with leaders from different parties frequently exchanging sharp critiques ahead of upcoming elections. The minister accused Congress of fostering community-based divisions to consolidate vote banks, contrasting it with his faction’s approach of promoting unity and development.
