Kupwara: Based on specific intelligence inputs, a joint operation was launched by Handwara Police and the Naugam Brigade of the Indian Army in the Neeriyan Forest area along the LoC in the Nowgam sector.
During the operation, the joint team uncovered a major hideout, resulting in the recovery of the following arms and ammunition:
- Two M-series rifles with four magazines
- Two Chinese pistols with three magazines
- Two hand grenades
- Several live rounds
In connection with this seizure, FIR No. 39/2025 has been registered at Police Station Qalamabad, and further investigations are underway.
