Mumbai: In a milestone moment for India’s real estate sector, the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) has announced the launch of the first-ever CREDAI Awards for Real Estate Excellence, scheduled for December 19, 2025, in New Delhi.

The awards introduce a national-level platform that honours developers and projects that exemplify quality construction, sustainable design, transparency, and responsible urban development across Tier-1, Tier-2, and Tier-3 cities.

A key highlight of the initiative is the evaluation process — independently conducted by CRISIL to ensure fairness, objectivity, and adherence to the highest industry standards. The multi-layered assessment model will review projects on parameters such as design excellence, execution quality, sustainability measures, and community impact.

“At CREDAI, we believe Indian real estate has entered a phase defined by transparency, accountability, and purposeful growth,” said Shekhar Patel, President, CREDAI. “These awards are our tribute to the real changemakers of the industry — developers who build responsibly, innovate consistently, and create long-term value for the nation. With CRISIL independently validating the entire process, we are setting a new benchmark in integrity and credibility. In an era strengthened by reforms like RERA, GST, digitisation, and IBC, we celebrate those who combine innovation with accountability and profit with purpose.”

The awards will recognise excellence across diverse categories, including residential, commercial, mixed-use, green and sustainable developments, senior citizen housing, and young achievers. The initiative aligns closely with national priorities such as affordable housing, sustainable urbanisation, and improved citizen-centric infrastructure.

By convening developers, policymakers, investors, and thought leaders on a unified platform, CREDAI aims to deepen collaboration within the ecosystem and bridge the gap between policy intent and on-ground implementation. The inaugural ceremony will not only celebrate exceptional work but also spotlight the ideas and projects shaping the future of Indian real estate.
