Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood icon Dharmendra, fondly known as the “He-Man of Bollywood,” has been discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital and is now recuperating at home under medical supervision. The 89-year-old actor had been admitted for observation and moved to the ICU on November 10, following a brief health concern.
Early Wednesday morning, Dharmendra was brought home in an ambulance around 7:30 am, while his son Bobby Deol followed closely behind in his car. Hospital authorities confirmed that the actor’s condition is stable and that he will continue his treatment at home.
The Deol family — including Hema Malini, Sunny, Bobby, and Esha Deol — had been making regular visits to the hospital during his stay. Concerned fans flooded social media with prayers after false rumors of Dharmendra’s death went viral on Tuesday, prompting Hema Malini to post a strong message on X.
“What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is recovering? Please respect our family’s privacy,” wrote Hema Malini, condemning the spread of misinformation.
Earlier, Sunny Deol had also assured fans that his father was responding well to treatment. Sources revealed that several Bollywood stars, including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan, personally visited the hospital to check on the veteran actor’s health.
