New Delhi: India and China held the 23rd round of Corps Commander-Level Meeting at the Chushul-Moldo border meeting point on October 25, 2025, in what the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) described as a “friendly and cordial atmosphere.”

This was the first meeting of the General Level Mechanism in the Western Sector since the 24th round of Special Representatives Talks held on August 19, 2025.

According to the MEA, both sides reviewed the progress made since the 22nd round of Corps Commander-Level talks held in October 2024. The discussions focused on maintaining peace and stability in the border regions.

“The two sides noted the progress since the 22nd round of Corps Commander Level Meeting held in October 2024 and shared the view that peace and tranquility has been maintained in the India-China border areas,” the MEA said in a statement.

Both India and China agreed to continue engaging through existing military and diplomatic mechanisms to address ground situations and ensure stability along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
