Ajit Pawar Meets German Delegation to Boost Maharashtra–Germany Collaboration in Investment, Skills and Technology

Pune: Deputy Chief Minister and Finance & Planning Minister Ajit Pawar met a German delegation led by Consul General Christoph Höllier at Sahyadri Guest House on Wednesday to discuss avenues for enhanced Maharashtra–Germany collaboration.

The discussions focused on key areas including Maharashtra–Baden–Württemberg partnership, skill migration agreements, vocational training, language initiatives, and joint cooperation projects.

Pawar emphasized the importance of establishing a Maharashtra–Germany Joint Steering Committee to strengthen collaboration in green energy, sustainable mobility, smart cities, research and startups, higher education exchange, and cultural relations.

Assuring full support to German investors in Maharashtra, the deputy CM also highlighted the need to create more employment opportunities in Germany for Maharashtra’s youth. He pointed out challenges faced by Indian students pursuing education in Germany and stressed solutions to address them.

Expressing optimism about the bilateral partnership, Pawar said, “This collaboration will bring advanced technology, skill development, employment generation, and foreign investment to Maharashtra, while Germany will benefit from a reliable partner and access to new markets.”
