Handwara: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse (IAS), a surprise inspection of several government offices in Handwara was carried out on Wednesday. The inspection team was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Javeed Naseem Masoodi (JKAS), along with Tehsildar Handwara, Zeeshan Khan (JKAS).
The inspection covered key offices, including Jal Shakti, the Chief Horticulture Officer’s office, SDAO, EO Municipal Committee Handwara, BDO Office, Exen R&B, and I&FC.
During the visit, a number of employees were found absent from duty without authorisation. Their absence was officially recorded, and disciplinary proceedings under service rules have been initiated against the erring officials.
Deputy Commissioner Suse reiterated that punctuality and accountability will be strictly enforced in all government offices to ensure efficient and effective public service delivery across the district.
