Mumbai: In a surprising political development on Thursday, MNS chief Raj Thackeray met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at his official residence, Varsha, located on Malabar Hill. Accompanied by his close aide and former minister Bala Nandgaonkar, Raj Thackeray reportedly held a 45-minute meeting with the CM, fueling speculation across political circles.
The meeting comes immediately after the Thackeray family faced a humiliating defeat in the 2025 BEST Employees’ Co-operative Credit Society elections, held under the Utkarsh panel. Despite nearly a decade of dominance in the influential society, Raj and Uddhav Thackeray’s alliance failed to win a single seat out of 21, shocking Mumbai’s political observers.
