Akhilesh Yadav Questions BJP Govt on Repeated Terror Attacks, Demands Clarity on Pahalgam Attack in Lok Sabha

New Delhi: During the ongoing debate on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha, Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led Central Government, raising critical questions on the repeated terror strikes in Jammu and Kashmir and the handling of the Pahalgam massacre.

Yadav began by congratulating the Indian Armed Forces for the successful cross-border strikes conducted under Operation Sindoor. “We salute the bravery and valour of our Armed Forces. If they had been given the full opportunity, they may have even taken control of PoK,” he said.

However, his praise was swiftly followed by pointed criticism of the Centre’s security preparedness. “Before the Pahalgam attack, there was another incident which the public still has no information about. The real question is – why are these terror incidents happening again and again under the BJP government?” he asked.

Referring to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam where 26 civilians, including a Nepali national, were brutally killed by suspected Pakistan-backed terrorists, Yadav demanded accountability. “Where did the Pahalgam terrorists go? Have they vanished into thin air? The government owes the nation an answer,” he said in the House.

Reacting to Congress leader P. Chidambaram’s statement that there was “no proof” the attackers came from Pakistan, Yadav remarked diplomatically, “Congress has been in power in Delhi before. They may have access to sources of information unknown to us. We can’t dismiss what Chidambaram is saying without proper investigation.”
