Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske Launches Scathing Attack on Sanjay Raut, Cites Balasaheb’s “Dream” Praise for Eknath Shinde

Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske launched a blistering attack on Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut, accusing him of harboring a deep-rooted grudge against the late Sena icon Anand Dighe. Mhaske, while addressing the media, alleged that it was Raut’s past actions — specifically an interview — that resulted in Dighe being booked under the stringent TADA law.

“It’s because of him that Dighe Saheb had to face a TADA case. That guilt will haunt Sanjay Raut forever. He won’t be able to see Dharmaveer Anand Dighe even in his dreams,” said Mhaske, reviving the intra-Sena rivalry with a sharp personal jab.

Mhaske, known for his staunch support of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, further stirred political buzz by claiming that the late Balasaheb Thackeray appeared in his dream, expressing admiration for Shinde’s proactive role during the recent heavy rains in Mumbai and Thane.

“Balasaheb said he was proud of Eknath Shinde, who was out on the streets even during torrential rains, while those who rose to power because of me are hiding indoors like cowards. These were once my disciples, and today, I feel ashamed of them,” Mhaske claimed.

Taking his attack a notch higher, Mhaske accused Raut of “speaking in the language of Pakistan” over his criticism of Operation Sindoor, India’s military strike against terror camps in PoK.

“If I were in Raut’s place, I would’ve invited Prime Minister Modi to Mumbai and felicitated him for the success of Operation Sindoor. But our own people are parroting Pakistan’s script. They must be rejected by the people of India,” Mhaske declared, once again attributing the sentiment to Balasaheb’s words in his dream.

The MP didn’t stop at Raut. He also ridiculed the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), recalling how, during their rule, Raut and his allies were seen loitering near the residences of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi.

“Everyone knows who they were trying to impress. Maharashtra watched it unfold,” he said.

Highlighting the respect Maharashtra leaders have earned under the NDA regime, Mhaske praised Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s role at the recent NDA meeting. “It was Shinde Saheb who was asked to present the resolution congratulating PM Modi and our brave soldiers for Operation Sindoor — a moment of immense pride for us,” Mhaske said.

He also mentioned how Shinde’s son, MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde, was chosen to lead a parliamentary delegation abroad, terming it a reflection of the NDA’s faith in Maharashtra’s leadership.
