Mumbai: In a significant move to streamline the First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions process, the Maharashtra School Education and Sports Department has officially commenced online registration for FYJC Admission 2025 via a new centralised portal — mahafyjcadmissions.in.

For the first time, the entire Class 11 admission process across the state is being conducted through a unified digital platform. The system aims to bring greater transparency, efficiency, and convenience for lakhs of students and parents across Maharashtra.

This year, more than 20 lakh seats across 9,281 junior colleges are being offered in streams including Arts, Commerce, Science, and Vocational courses. The platform allows candidates to register, upload documents, choose colleges, and track allotments — all from a single dashboard.

Revised Schedule After Technical Glitch

Although the registration initially opened on May 21, the portal experienced a technical snag due to heavy traffic. The timeline was subsequently revised, and the online application window will now remain open until June 3, 2025.

Following the close of applications, the provisional general merit list will be released on June 5. Candidates will be allowed to raise objections or correction requests from June 6 to June 7. The final general merit list will be published on June 8.

Quota Admissions & Seat Allotment

A special Zero Round of admissions has been scheduled for minority, in-house, and management quotas between June 9 and June 11, conducted at the respective college level.

Meanwhile, the first round of central allotment will be released on June 10, with allotted students required to confirm their admissions and submit documents between June 11 and June 18.
