In a case that has unfolded with a dramatic twist, a 40-year-old woman from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, is accused of fabricating a shocking story to frame Mayor Dr. Umesh Gautam. The woman initially claimed that on March 29, she was abducted by five individuals, gang-raped in a moving car, and shot in the chest before being left for dead. She reportedly made her way to a hospital and contacted the police, providing a harrowing account of the attack.

However, a detailed police investigation soon revealed a web of deceit. Shockingly, authorities discovered that the woman had paid a quack doctor 2,500 rupees to implant a bullet into her chest through a surgical procedure, rather than being shot by assailants. The dangerous procedure, intended to make her story seem more credible, had been performed under highly unsafe conditions.

The woman, who previously worked as a domestic helper at Mayor Umesh Gautam’s residence, had a history of grievances with him. In 2021, she was dismissed by the Mayor’s wife, and in 2022, she had filed a similar accusation against him, which was later closed after investigation. In her latest statement, the woman alleged that the Mayor and his son, Parth Gautam, were behind the attack. She claimed that Parth had called the kidnappers and ordered them to “finish her off” for creating problems for his father.

However, the police’s investigation, which included reviewing local CCTV footage, revealed discrepancies in her narrative. Medical reports and footage showed that the bullet wound was not caused by gunfire but rather a surgical procedure, which contradicted her original story of a violent attack.

Authorities now believe that personal grievances or possible political motives may have driven the woman to fabricate the entire incident in an attempt to frame the Mayor and his family.
