Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Demands Rs 1.63 Lakh Crore from Centre for Pending Projects

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has urged Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy to secure ₹1,63,559.31 crore in pending funds for key state projects. In a letter to the Union Minister, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized that as a Union Minister from Telangana, it is Kishan Reddy’s duty to push for the release of these crucial funds.

Despite multiple meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Union Ministers, the Telangana government has not received the required approvals, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) stated.

Hyderabad Metro Phase-II Awaiting Approval
CM Revanth Reddy has also requested urgent clearance for the Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II project, aimed at expanding connectivity across the city. The project proposes five corridors spanning 76.4 km at an estimated cost of ₹24,269 crore. The Chief Minister pointed out that the previous government neglected metro expansion, delaying crucial urban infrastructure development.

Push for Regional Ring Road Completion
During his recent meeting with PM Modi in New Delhi, CM Revanth Reddy also pressed for immediate approval of the Southern part of the Regional Ring Road (RRR), stating that while 90% of land acquisition is completed for the Northern part, the project can only be fully utilized if both sections are completed simultaneously.
