Mumbai: In a recent statement, political leader Waris Pathan has expressed doubts regarding the circumstances surrounding the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. Sharing his concerns through a video statement, Pathan urged the Mumbai Police and the actor’s family to address the public’s lingering questions about the incident, which has sparked widespread speculation on social media.
The attack occurred nine days ago at Saif Ali Khan’s Bandra residence, where an alleged intruder climbed 12 floors and attacked the actor with a knife. Saif was admitted to Lilavati Hospital and discharged after a few days. However, netizens have raised questions about the rapid recovery, calling it “too good to be true.”
In his video, Waris Pathan emphasized the need for clarity and transparency in the investigation. He said, “We condemn the attack on Saif Ali Khan. In a city like Mumbai, in a place like Bandra, a man climbs 12 floors and enters his house. He attacks him with a knife, and Saif is treated at Lilavati Hospital, where doctors reportedly removed a 2.5-inch knife. Yet, just a few days later, Saif was seen walking out joyfully from the hospital. People are asking questions, and they deserve answers.”
Pathan further questioned the police’s handling of the case, citing inconsistencies in the photos and information shared with the public. “The police recently posted a photo of a man coming down the stairs, calling him the possible attacker. Then they arrested someone. But people are questioning how someone could climb 12 floors. There are doubts about the authenticity of the photos. Why isn’t the police clarifying these doubts?”
He also expressed surprise at reports that Saif had traveled to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw after such a serious incident. “Why did he go in an auto? What happened that night? The family and the police must address these questions,” he said.
Concluding his statement, Pathan stressed the importance of transparency, particularly because Saif Ali Khan is a public figure. “People have the right to know. The police and administration must come forward and reveal the truth so that all the doubts arising in people’s minds can be put to rest. We pray for Saif’s speedy recovery, but the public deserves clarity on this incident.”
As the investigation continues, the public awaits further updates from Mumbai Police, hoping for answers to the questions raised by Pathan and others.
