Kolkata: In a move that has raised eyebrows, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Union minister John Barla attended an administrative meeting chaired by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday. The event, held in North Bengal’s Alipurduar district, has sparked rumors of Barla potentially shifting allegiance to the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
Before the meeting began, Banerjee and Barla were seen exchanging pleasantries, adding fuel to the speculation. When questioned about his intentions of joining the TMC, Barla responded cryptically, saying, “Wait and see.”
