New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, addressing an election rally in Kirari on Thursday, took a sharp jab at AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal over the pollution in the Yamuna River and the state of governance in Delhi. Speaking to a massive crowd, Adityanath questioned Kejriwal’s commitment to cleaning the river, asking, “Can Kejriwal and his ministers take a dip in the Yamuna? I doubt they would dare, and neither will the people of Delhi forgive this negligence.”

The Chief Minister highlighted the deteriorating infrastructure in Delhi, calling out the AAP government for its failure to maintain basic amenities. “The roads are filled with potholes, garbage is piling up everywhere, and the condition of water and electricity supply has worsened. This is the national capital, but the state of governance here is shameful,” Adityanath said.

Pointing to issues such as sewage on roads and a looming drinking water crisis, Adityanath accused the AAP of ignoring core problems. “Delhi has become an example of mismanagement. Sewage flows freely on roads, and people are struggling for clean drinking water. Instead of fixing these issues, Kejriwal and his team are busy with propaganda on social media,” he added.

Yogi Adityanath also compared Delhi’s current state to what it was a decade ago, when, he said, people came to the city for better infrastructure and facilities. “Today, the city’s roads are in disrepair, and the cleanliness that Delhi was once known for is now a distant memory,” he remarked.

The BJP leader appealed to voters to choose the BJP for development, better governance, and a corruption-free administration. “Delhi needs a government that delivers, not one that tweets,” he said, promising improvements in law and order and infrastructure if the BJP comes to power.
