UP: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid heartfelt tributes to Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh during the Veer Bal Diwas program at his residence on Thursday. The event honored the supreme sacrifices of the young Sahibzadas, whose martyrdom remains an indelible part of India’s history.

Addressing the gathering, CM Adityanath recounted the harrowing ordeal of the Sahibzadas, who were bricked alive under the orders of Wazir Khan. He hailed their unwavering courage and sacrifice as a guiding light for generations to come. “Their martyrdom reminds us of the importance of standing firm for religion and the nation,” he said.

The Chief Minister noted that the Uttar Pradesh government is commemorating their sacrifices with district-wide events, ensuring the legacy of the Sahibzadas continues to inspire.

Adityanath also paid homage to Sikh Gurus, including Guru Arjun Dev Ji and Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, emphasizing their pivotal roles in defending India’s religious and cultural heritage. Referring to Guru Teg Bahadur Ji’s sacrifice, he underscored its significance in preserving Kashmir’s identity as an integral part of India.

Highlighting the challenges faced by the Sikh community in neighboring countries, Adityanath expressed concerns over the dwindling Sikh population in Kabul and the plight of minorities in Bangladesh and Pakistan. “Only a handful of Sikh families remain in Kabul. It is painful to hear about the condition of Sikhs in neighboring countries. We must draw inspiration from our shared ideals and unite with renewed energy to safeguard our heritage,” he said.

The Chief Minister also urged vigilance against forces aiming to weaken the youth through drugs and other means. “Sikhs have historically defended our borders with valor. Today, we must identify those trying to undermine our youth and society and stand firm against them,” he asserted.

The program concluded with Adityanath calling for unity and resilience, echoing the timeless values embodied by the sacrifices of the Sahibzadas and Sikh Gurus.
