Nanded : Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a poll rally in Nanded on Saturday, claimed that there is a “wave of Mahayuti” sweeping through Maharashtra, signaling a strong support base for the BJP and its allies. The rally, held in the second-largest district of Marathwada, was part of his campaign for the upcoming Maharashtra elections.

PM Modi emphasized that the people of Maharashtra are aware of the BJP and its allies’ commitment to the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). He said that this trust in the alliance is reflected in the votes they receive, asserting, “People know that we are working with the aim of a developed India, and hence they vote for us.”

Speaking about his visit to the state, the Prime Minister noted that he was performing a “double duty” during his rally. “Firstly, I am asking for help for Modi and secondly, for the bright future of Maharashtra,” he said, urging the people to support his party’s vision for the state. He went on to cite BJP’s historic win in the Haryana elections, predicting that Maharashtra would “repeat this history” in the upcoming polls as well.

Modi also expressed his belief that during his visits over the past two days, he had observed a unanimous sentiment among the people of Maharashtra. He stated, “Everyone has made up their mind that whatever was lacking in the Lok Sabha, must be fulfilled vigorously in the Vidhan Sabha this time.” The Prime Minister reiterated that Maharashtra needed a government led by the Mahayuti coalition for a prosperous future, adding, “Maharashtra has suffered from the wrath of the Congress and its sins for a long time.”

In a strong attack on the Congress, Modi accused the party of “breaking its own record in corruption” and criticized its stance on Dr. BR Ambedkar. He claimed that Congress “hates Dr. Ambedkar” and was intent on undermining the Constitution that the eminent leader helped shape.

PM Modi’s remarks come as the BJP-led Mahayuti coalition seeks to consolidate its position in Maharashtra, hoping to garner widespread support by focusing on development and countering the legacy of the Congress. With his rally in Nanded, Modi has made it clear that the upcoming elections are pivotal for securing a prosperous future for Maharashtra under the leadership of the Mahayuti alliance.
