As the Lok Sabha elections draw nearer, the political landscape in Maharashtra is witnessing a flurry of accusations and blame games among rival parties. However, amidst the chaos, a startling revelation has emerged from former MLA Krishna Hegde and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, shedding light on the internal turmoil within the Maharashtra Congress.

Krishna Hegde, a prominent figure within the political arena, has raised serious concerns about the state of affairs within the Congress party. According to Hegde, the Congress allies, namely UBT and NCP (SP), have shown a blatant disregard for the leadership of the Maharashtra Congress. He lamented that despite their efforts, the Congress leadership fails to command respect and authority, leading to a fractured internal structure within the party.

“Maharashtra Congress leadership weak, non-assertive. UBT and NCP (SP) don’t listen to them, and they themselves do not enjoy the confidence of its own leadership in Delhi,” Hegde asserted, highlighting the gravity of the situation.

Against the backdrop of this internal rift, the looming Lok Sabha elections are set to commence from April 20 and culminate on June 1, with results slated for announcement on June 4. The political dynamics in Maharashtra are further complicated by the alliance between BJP, led by Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, and Ajit Pawar’s NCP.

The revelation made by Krishna Hegde and the corroborating statements from Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde underscore the deep-seated challenges facing the Congress party in Maharashtra. As the political landscape continues to evolve, the implications of this rift on the electoral outcomes and the broader political scenario remain to be seen.
