Jammu: The Akhil Bhartiya Kshatriya Mahasabha Trust (ABKMT) celebrated the Jammu and Kashmir Accession Day with full fervour in its Ghou Manhasa Jammu office. Aadil Manhas (Union Territory President of ABKMT), Rishipal Singh Parmar (National President of ABKMT), Parshotam Amit Manhas (National General Secretary of ABKMT) highlighted and acknowledged the great contribution of its founder Maharaja Hari Singh. They paid their tributes with flowers and garlands to the revered and apprised them of the great contribution of Maharaja Hari Singh.

It was due to Maharaja Hari Singh that Jammu & Kashmir became a part of India when he signed the Instrument of Accession on October 26,1947. Apart from that, Maharaja Hari Singh was the last ruling Maharaja of the princely State of Jammu and Kashmir.

He was born in the city of Jammu in 1895. He was a progressive and far-sighted ruler who instituted many social and economic reforms for the welfare of the people in 1929. He had declared that all the temples in the Jammu & Kashmir to be open for Dalits.

The ABKMT team members Anirudh Manhas, Shikha Manhas, Romesh Kumar, Ketan Jamwal Aadish Jamwal, Shivam Jamwal, Vikram Kumar and other team members highlighted the legacy of Maharaja Hari Singh and demanded that Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to declare Maharaja Hari Singh birth day as a public holiday in Jammu & Kashmir.
